Air traffic control
The persons designated to ensure the orderly flow of all air traffic, both on the ground and in the air
Ascent / climb
Upward / rising movement of an aircraft until it levels off at cruising altitude
Airstairs
The steps used by guests to enter or leave the aircraft
Descent
The downward movement of an aircraft from cruising altitude to landing
Cabin
Upper section if he aircraft fuselage divided into zones, where guests are carried
Jumpseat
Specific seats in the flight deck and cabin (of a specific and regulated design) designated for crew member use only
Control tower
Airport building from which air traffic controllers can oversee and direct all aircraft movement
Jetbridge
A retractable, enclosed walkways connecting the door of an aircraft with the terminal
Takeoff
The act of lifting the aircraft from the runway
Board
The process of guests leaving the gate strand getting into the aircraft
Terminal
The building where guests check in for, depart from, or arrive on a flight
Runway
A long strip of pavement used by aircraft for takeoff and landing
Taxiway
Strip of pavement connecting the runway to the ramp area
Landing
The act of brining the aircraft down the runway
Block-out
When blocks are removed from aircraft wheels for departure and initial movement of aircraft begins
