Procedure when giving medication
2 crew must together:
- Find content checklist/ drug chart of med for use by CC
- Check ‘dosage and administration’ & ‘precautions & warnings’
- Expiry date
- Ask casualty about any allergies, & if taken any medication in the last 24 hours
- Ask relevant precautionary questions using medications list & box
- Explain how to take the medication
- Monitor
- Complete relevant documents
