What is the upper quartile?
The median of the second half of values, not including the median.
What is the mode?
The most common value in a set of numbers
How do you find the median of a set of values?
Count up how many values there are, + 1, divide by 2. This is the position the median will be in numerical order
How do you find the mean from a frequency table?
Sigma,f,x / Sigma,f
What is the interquartile range (IQR)?
The upper quartile minus the lower quartile
What is the mean?
The sum of the values / the number of values
What is the range?
The highest number minus the lowest number
What is the lower quartile?
The median of the first half of values, not including the median
How do you use stem and leaf diagrams?
Put the first digit of the number on one side of the line, put the second digits on the other side, in numerical order. Make sure you write a key.

How do you find the mean from a grouped frequency table?
Find the midpoint and use that as x.
