AV Junctional Rhythm And Complexes Flashcards
AV junctional escape rhythm?
An AV junctional rhythm that emerges as a result of a failure of conduction or slowing of a normally faster physiologic pacemaker.
AV junctional rhythm, accelerated?
An AV junctional rhythm that is more rapid (generally between 70-130bpm) than the usual rate of of the AV junction
It is secondary to enhanced automaticity of the AV junction and lacks an paroxysmal onset and termination.
AV junctional escape complexes?
Isolated AV junctional complexes that emerge as a result of the failure of conduction or slowing of a normally faster physiologic pacemaker.
AV junctional premature complexes?
Isolated AV junctional complexes that occur prematurely relative to the basic sinus cycle.
AV junctional rhythm?
A regular rhythm characteristically at a rate of 35-60bpm that originate in the AV junction, with an inverted retrograde P waves in lead II, III and aVF.
The P wave may occur prior to or within or after the QRS complex.
in the absence of retrograde block, the PRi is less than 0.12 sec.
