Q

what makes you the best candidate for auto theft

A

What makes me the best candidate is my attitude towards proactive cop work, my experiences in CID, and my desire to be a good teammate. In Auto Theft I can be proactive and create good stats without being so heavily reliant on informants , but also gain and manage informants on persons not eligible for arrest. I also know how to handle money and money monthlies. Where auto theft may call narcotics to assist , i can show and teach them how to handle informants and paying informants. I have worked with the auto theft guys, I know their tactics, I am friends with them, I understand what they like and don’t like in regards to their style of work. While working with Auto Theft I have proven myself as a reliable partner with those guys.

18
Q

What Can you bring to auto theft-

A

What i can bring to the table is experience writing search warrants, managing informants/ money monthlies, and try to bring the unit even closer than it is with a positive attitude, effective communication, and work ethic. While working in Narcotics I learned that we must rely on each other to be safe, communicate effectively, and do our best to keep a positive atmosphere and working environment. We must also be reliable and accountable for making improvements

19
Q

How do you feel about overtime and being on call ?

A

I have no problem fulfilling my obligations of being on call.
When i first came in to property Crimes i was on call for property as well as narcotics to help gain an edge into getting into narcotics .While on call i never missed one call
And if I’m on call and get called out i will handle business. If i leave town i will either find coverage or switch weeks with someone.
