A
- In the 80’s used Lenz Moser system popular for high volume
- Focus on high quality uses single or double guyot ( replacement cane ) and VSP trellising
- Machine harvesting is more common on flatter lands in Weinviertel and Burgen land
- Wachau, Kremstal and DAnube are planted on steep stone terraces and all work is carried out by hand
- 3-5 times longer
Moderate rianfall around 450 mm in the Weinviertel and 850 in Steiermark means diease pressure is pretty low
15% certified organic
Rainfall can be very low and require irrigation
MAX YIELD 67.5 hl/ha however most vintatges only get 54hl
