On an Austrian sekt, it indicates the wine is made by the grape grower, like that of a recoltant manipulant.

Ausbruch grapes are harvested at a minimum 30° KMW (approximately 156°Öchsle).
Ausbruch is produced in a similar process to Tokaji: richly concentrated botrytis-affected must is added to less concentrated must—from fruit harvested in the same vineyard—and the two are fermented together, then aged in barrel before release.
