reasons for its location
It’s raw material, bauxite is the main material the comes in from the Republic of Guinea in Africa can be shipped easily to the Shannon estuary as it has a deep water port suitable for the large ships that deliver the large material.
It can also then be easily exported to its markets in the UK and Scandinavia where it’s smelted and also the rest of Europe.
The deep water ports allow then to transport goods easily and the N69 national secondary road connects it to Limerick city and Shannon airport.
Labour force: more than 450 are employed from nearby towns and villages such as Foynes Rathkeale and Newcastle west.
Capital: it can provide the capital to function as its a multinational company
