What is frequency?
The number of wave cycles per second.
What is Hz?
A unit of measurement for frequency.
What is amplitude?
The height of a sound wave from the middle to the through or the crest.
What is bit depth?
The amount of bits used to represent each sample of a sound wave.
What is the sample rate?
The amount of sound wave samples taken in an amount of time.
What is metadata?
Extra data stored alongside files that shows things such as date of creation, date of last edit, file size, location of creation etc
What is compression?
Reducing the side of a file by removing data that is deemed useless or by reducing quality.
What is sampling?
Taking a reading of the amplitude of a sound wave for storing.
What are pixels?
Individual squares that can represent any colour, they make up an image collectively.
What is colour depth?
The amount of colours that can be represented by a pixel.
