liquidity ratios are measures of a firm’s short term ability to pay maturing obligations
What are activity ratios?
they are measures of how effectively an enterprise is using its assets
What are profitability ratios?
they measure the financial performance of an enterprise for a given time period

they are measures that are of interest to investors
What are coverage ratios?
they are measures of security for long term creditors and investors
What is the current ratio?
It is current assets divided by current liabilities
What is the quick ratio?
Cash and cash equivalents + short term marketable securities + receivables (net) divided by current liabilities
What accounts receivable turnover?
Sales (net) divided by Average AR (net)
What are Days sales in AR?
Ending AR (net) divided by (sales/365)
What is Inventory Turnover?
COGS divided by average inventory
What is Days in inventory?
Ending Inventory divided by (COGS/365)
What accounts payable turnover?
COGS / Average AP
What is Days of payables outstanding?
Ending AP divided by (COGS/365)
What is the cash conversion cycle?
Days sales in AR + Days in inventory - Days of payables outstanding
What is asset turnover?
sales (net) divided by average total assets
