Affect Attunement definition?
o refers to the ways in which internal emotional states are brought into communication within infant-caregiver interactions( how internal emotions affects the way they interact with their caregivers)
What is Alignment:
an individual alters his or her state to approximate that of the other member or both parent and infant modify their states.
Overstimulation
o adults who engage in overcontrolling, intrusive behaviors with infants
Under stimulated infants?
o have emotional disturbed parents and are low affect monitors

What are the 3 forms of Attachment?
Secure Attachment:,Avoidant Attachment, Resistant-Ambivalent Attachment, Disorganized-Disoriented Attachment

protest mother leaving and coming back, accept comfort from their mother and return to playing
Avoidant Attachment definition?
Child focused and doesn’t care if caregiver leaves and little to no visible response when the mother returns
Resistant-Ambivalent Attachment
mixed feelings when adult leaves and returns and may not recover to regular play
Disorganized-Disoriented Attachment
♣ Seem confused,or frightened by her or freeze or still movements when she approaches. No clear strategy in responding to caregivers bc they may be fine one day and not another
