What should you do en route to an incident?.

A

Obtain:

  • Description of suspect and or vehicle(if any).
  • Suspect direction of travel (Time Delay).
  • Description of any weapons carried.

Watch for any vehicles that may have come from the and note regos.

Plan where to put your car in a safe place SFP (safe way point)

Form a plan for your initial action upon arrival.

  • discuss responsibilities with your partner.
  • decide who will deal with possible suspects and who will deal with possible victims and how.

What are core principles on arrival to an incident?.

A

Park in a safe clear area.

Advise comms of your arrival & obtain acknowledgement.

Revise your plan if the scene is deferent then anticipated.

Beware of what is happening and ask people (Ted’s) (5 WH + H)
