Why do early attachments influence our attraction to celebrities?
As key attachment form IWM in child which stays continuous throughout their life.
What predictions does this theory make?
Insecure resistant will be most attracted, the securely attached then insecure resistant.
Describe resistantly attached attraction. Why does it occur?
They will be very attracted to celebrities. They are very intimate but fear rejection, with a PSR allowing a relationship with no fear of rejection.
What attraction will Securely attached infants have?
Why?
Will not be very likely to form PSR. However they may do so on difficulties in real like relationships.
They have no fear of rejection
Describe insecure avoident attachments style. Why does it occur?
Very very little celebrity attraction. This is because they have an anxiety over any relationships.
What are the maternal sensitivity hypothesis for each attachment style?
Insecure avoident- Mother is rarely there to care for child
Secure- Mothers care is consistent
Insecure resistant- Mothers care is inconsistant

Type C pps were most likely to form a parasocial relationship, then type B, with type A being least likely
