A
  1. proximity - people try to stay physically close to their attachment figure
  2. secure base behaviour - we tend to make regular contact with attachment figures. babies display this when they regularly return to their attachment figures while playing
  3. separation distress - showing signs of anxiety when an attachment figure leave their presence
  4. Joy on reunion - displays of happiness when reunited
