Atropine indications
Symptomatic bradycardia
Pretreatment is RSI

None in an emergency
Caution with asthma
Caution with narrow-angle glaucoma

0.5mg IVO/ IO rapid bolus every 3-5 minutes as needed
Max 0.04 mg/kg or 3mg

Paradoxical bradycardia

Atropine: avoid using with this drugs
Ipratropium (used to treat bronchospasm/ asthma exacerbations)
Atropine adverse effects
Minor: blurred vision, dilated pupils, dry mouth, drowsiness
Bigger shit: tachycardia, including SVT
Atropine: describe the mechanism of action
Atropine is a parasympatholytic, which blocks the parasympatholytic nervous system, resulting in increased chronotropy (+HR)
Atropine max adult dose in pretreatment RSI
0.1 - 0.5 mg
