What is atrial fibrillation ?
A
An uncoordinated atrial activation that results in irregular ventricular response.
A type of supraventricular tachyarrhythmia.

What is the classifications of AF ?
A
Proxysmal AF - resolves within 7 days
Persistent AF - > 7 days to 1 year
Long-standing AF - > 1 year
Permanent AF - when therapeutic attempts are no longer made to convert to or maintain sinus rhythm
