Q

What are the fuel requirements for IFR in terms of holding?

A

Turbine: Fly from the AERODROME of INTENDED LANDING to the ALTERNATE AERODROME and fly after that for 30 MINUTES at HOLDING SPEED at 1500ft ABOVE the AERODROME;
Non-turbine: Fly from the AERODROME of INTENDED LANDING to the ALTERNATE AERODROME and fly after that for 45 MINUTES at HOLDING SPEED at 1500ft ABOVE the AERODROME

16
Q

If a destination is considered to be closed, what additional requirements are there?

A

ADDITIONAL FUEL as ETP1D including:
DIVERT at 9000/10000ft depending on track;
XTR HOLD ALTN FUEL for INSTRUMENT APPROACH;
FIXED FUEL RESERVE for 15 MINUTES at 1500ft

17
Q

When are the terms minimum fuel and mayday fuel used?

A

Minimum: Fuel state when LANDING with current ATC CLEARANCE and ETA is likely to APPROACH 30 minutes of remaining fuel;
Mayday: Fuel state when LANDING with current ATC CLEARANCE and ETA will be LESS than 30 minutes of remaining fuel

18
Q

What happens if the DARP reroute requires more fuel than already onboard (including contingencies)?

A

CREATE a DDP flight plan;

If already DDP or PNR DP, ADVISES what IMPACT the DARP ROUTE has on CONTINGENCY and DISCRETIONARY fuel such as TANKER

19
Q

What are the EDTO fuel requirements when destination is closed?

A

,

20
Q

What are the 3 types of space weather?

A

GEOMAGNETIC STORMS;
SOLAR RADIATION STORMS;
RADIO BLACKOUTS

21
Q

What are the limitations of flying in regions greater than 60 degrees south?

A

ASSESS for SPACE WEATHER NO GO if G4-G5 or S4-S5 conditions are forecast

22
Q

What fuel items are not included in FUELRQ?

A

CONTGCY FUEL 2/2;
ETP B/U;
XTR HOLD ZZZZ (destination);
TANKER FUEL

23
Q

When do the ZFW summaries not appear of flight plan?

A

DDP operation;
PNR DP operation (777/787);
TANKERING sector;
Flight planned with EXTRA HOLDING FUEL at destination
