Define overtraining
- When excessive frequency, intensity, and/or duration of training occurs resulting in extreme fatigue, illness, or injury. Often a result of too much training, too little recovery, and/or poor nutrient intake.
(FM 7-22, Para 5-8)
When administering corrective action, what are the only exercises permitted (and how many repetitions) so as to avoid overtraining?

When a Soldier exceeds body fat standards, how soon must their leadership enroll them in the ABCP?
- Enrollment in the ABCP starts on the day the Soldier is notified by the unit commander that they have been entered in the program.
(AR 600-9, 3-5a)
What are the administrative requirements for a Soldier who exceeds the body fat standard?
- DA 268 initiating flagging action, DA 5500/5501 from enrollment and each monthly assessment, notification counseling, Soldier Action Plan, nutrition counseling results memo, medical evaluation request memo (if indicated), medical evaluation results (if indicated), release from ABCP counseling memo from commander, copy of DA3349 - physical profile (if applicable).
(AR 600-9, Para 3-8a)
