Q

Sub shell/sub energy levels

A

sub shells within main shells.

depending on the energy level, it will have the number of sub shells there. Like N=1, has 1 sub shell, but N=4 has 4.

7
Q

the further away you want your electrons…

A

the more energy it takes. Electrons in the outermost energy levels are the ones with highest energy because it takes more effort and energy to pull electrons away from the center.
