Q

Gas pressure really depends on the movement of gas particles.
There are two ways we can change this:

A

By changing the temperature of the particles
By changing the number of particles in a given space.

Q

Why does the pressure change?

A

There is less air above you, therefore less air pushing down on you, so pressure decreases.
Air density decreases, so there are fewer particles applying forces, so pressure decreases.

This means there is less air to breathe in!
