What is the setup procedure for anti-torque?
A
- Turn off A. TRIM-YAW switch.
- Adjust pedals to out-of-trim condition. No more than 10 degrees not to exceed 1/2 ball width.
- Maintain 70 knots or higher until final.
- Progressively decrease to 40 KIAS maintaining less than 300 FPM descent. If nose left continue approach. If right, abort approach.
- Arrive first 1/3 landing area at 5 feet.
- Decrease airspeed to align aircraft with landing area.
- If nose yaws right past centerline apply forward cyclic
Caution - Anytime the aircraft yaw becomes uncontrollable the IP with terminate the maneuver. The radar altimeter should be used for situational awareness.

What is the setup for manual throttle operation.
A
- Select MAN on NORM/MAN SW
- Drive selected eng to induce split until “ENG SPLIT CAUTION”
- Announce “Governor Failure #____ , overspeed.
- P confirm condition, ID malfunction and announce corrective action.
- P will increase collective, direct P to sel MAN switch and TRIM NRO to 101%.
- IP announce to P the switch did not correct condition.
- P will identify affected engine and rotate twist grip towards idle.
- Land as soon as practicable.*
