What is a grid reference? How many numbers does it have?
A grid reference is a line of 6 numbers that show a specific square on a grid. It is written Eastings to Northings, or right to up. The 3rd and 6th numbers divide the chosen square into tenths. e.g 462826 = 46.2 right, 82.6 up.
