How is probe heat turned on?
P-5 overhead panel.
The AOA case heater element has failed, what is the indication of this?
Amber Alpha Vane light comes on. Master caution and Anti-ice annunciator lights come on.
Describe how to do the window heat power test.
Power test switch on the P-5 overhead panel. Hold the switch in the PWR TEST position, this will cause the WHCU(Window heat control unit) to send an electric current to the window and a green ON light on the P-5 overhead panel to come on.
Where are the wing anti-ice valves(WAIV) located?
In the wind leading edges outboard of each engine strut.
The airplane is on the gate in Phoenix in July, facing into the blazing sun.
Window heat is on, the green window heat on lights are not illuminated; Is this
normal?

Where is window heat BITE performed?
On the two WHCU box’s in the E and E bay. (E4-2 and E2-1 shelf).
How would you access a windshield wiper motor to replace it?
Through panels under the P-7 glare shield.
What happened to the rain repellant system(Hydrophobic Windshield coating)?
Improves visibility in heavy rain
