Silvia: Ich arbeite gerne mit Menschen, mit Sprachen und mit Kulturen.
Ela: Ich liebe meine Familie, bin arbeite gerne für das, was ich liebe (z. B. Architektur) und ich möchte gerne fremde Länder kennenlernen.
Fatih: Ich reise gerne, ich möchte neue Kollegen kennenlernen und ich fahre gerne Velo.
Jaime: Ich lerne gerne, bin positiv und liebe harte Arbeit. Ich arbeite Teilzeit. Ich habe als Freiwilliger gearbeitet.
Describe yourself in three words.
Silvia: I like working with people, with languages and with cultures.
Ela: I love my family, I like to work for what I love (e.g. architecture) and I would like to get to know foreign countries.
Fatih: I like to travel, I want to meet new colleagues and I like to ride a bike.
Jaime: I like to learn, I am positive and I love hard work. I work part-time. I worked as a volunteer.

An welchem Ort fühlst du dich besonders wohl?
Fatih: Ich fühle mich in der Schweiz besonders wohl, weil es hier besser als in der Türkei ist. Ich träume von Chile oder Mexiko.
Jaime: Ich fühle mich in Kolumbien am wohlsten, aber die Schweiz ist meine zweite Heimat.
Ela: Ich fühle mich in meinem Zimmer am wohlsten, weil ich hier meine Ruhe habe.
In which place do you feel particularly comfortable?
Fatih: I feel particularly comfortable in Switzerland because it is better here than in Turkey. I dream of Chile or Mexico.
Jaime: I feel most comfortable in Colombia, but Switzerland is my second home.
Ela: I feel most comfortable in my room because I have peace and quiet here.

Ela: Für mich ist ein perfekter Tag ein Tag in der Natur.
Jaime: Für mich ist ein perfekter Tag ein Tag am Meer mit viel Schwimmen.
Fatih: Für mich ist ein perfekter Tag ein Tag, an dem ich mit der Bahn fahren kann.
Silvia: Für mich ist der kommende Freitag ein perfekter Tag, weil wir mit der Bahn nach Venedig fahren und dort Gondel fahren.
What is a perfect day for you?
Ela: For me, a perfect day is a day in nature.
Jaime: For me, a perfect day is a day at the sea with a lot of swimming.
Fatih: For me, a perfect day is a day when I can take the train.
Silvia: For me, the coming Friday is a perfect day because we take the train to Venice and take the gondola there.
Was konntest du in der Schule am besten? (Mathematik? Sport? Geschichte? …)
ELA: Ich konnte am besten Mathematik und Kunst.
Fatih: Ich war am besten in Geometrie und Geografie.
Jaime: Ich konnte am besten Englisch und Kunst.
What did you do best at school? (Mathematics? Sport? History? …)
ELA: I was best at math and art.
Fatih: I was best in geometry and geography.
Jaime: I knew English and art best.
Gibt es etwas aus deiner Kindheit, das du bis heute behalten hast?
Ela: Ich habe noch zwei kleine Plüschtiere.
Fatih: Ich habe noch ein Foto von meinem Vater und meiner Grossmutter.
Jaime: Ich habe einige Fotos von meiner Familie auf Papier.
Is there anything from your childhood that you have kept until today?
Ela: I still have two little stuffed animals.
Fatih: I still have a photo of my father and my grandmother.
Jaime: I have some photos of my family on paper.

Was war das Beste, das dir im letzten Jahr passiert ist?
Jaime: Ich bin letztes Jahr viel gereist, nach Ägypten, Thailand, Kenia und Tansania.
Silvia: Ich habe meine Prüfung zur Deutschlehrerin geschafft /bestanden.
Fatih: Ich habe mit meiner Frau in einem Zelt den ersten Hochzeitstag gefeiert.
Ela: Ich bin zurück in den Iran gekommen und nach Finnland gereist, und von dort zu einer kleinen Insel zwischen Finnland und Schweden gekommen.
What was the best thing that happened to you in the last year?
Jaime: I traveled a lot last year to Egypt, Thailand, Kenya and Tanzania.
Silvia: I passed my German teacher exam.
Fatih: I celebrated the first wedding anniversary with my wife in a tent.
Ela: I came back to Iran and traveled to Finland, and from there to a small island between Finland and Sweden.
Was ist das Beste, das dir deine Eltern beigebracht haben?
Jaime: Ich habe von meiner Mutter Haushaltsarbeiten gelernt.
Ela: Ich habe von meinem Vater Stillbleiben gelernt, wenn ich wütend bin.
Fatih: Ich habe von meinen Eltern die Muttersprache gelernt und bis heute nicht vergessen.
What is the best thing your parents taught you?
Jaime: I learned household chores from my mother.
Ela: I learned to stay still from my father when I was angry.
Fatih: I learned my mother tongue from my parents and I haven’t forgotten it until today.
