What is the presentation of asthma
Wheeze, shortness of breath, chest tightness and cough, exacerbations
What inflammatory cells are involved in the airway inflammation during asthma
Eosinophils, neutrophils, T cells
What are the two main categories of treatment of asthma?
Beta 2 agonists - to stop bronchoconstriction
Corticosteroids - to suppress the inflammation (hyper responsiveness, narrowing and remodelling)
