- Temporal = responsible for our memory and auditory processing.
- Occipital = visual processing and receiving information from the eyes.

Id = unconscious / impulsive. Present at birth.
Ego = conscious / rational. Develops at the age of 2.
Superego = Seeks to perfect and civilise our behaviour. Embodies the child’s sense of right and wrong. Develops around the age of 4.
