Schemas are derived from past experiences, but can be refined through further interactions with people and the world around us.

Schemas do not necessarily represent reality as they are often built up via social exchanges rather than personal interaction.
What Is The Main Problem With Schemas?
Schemas may not be correct as they are based on perception and may represent social stereotypes of a certain group.
