Signs/Symptoms: epigastric pain radiating to the back releived by leaning forward: N/V, diarrhea, loss of appetite, hemodynamic instability including shock, tenderness, guarding, rebound tenderness. Grey Turner’s / Cullen’s Sign
No Morphine! Will cause pain.

Esophageal Varices
Treatment: Administer Sandostatin 25-50mcg IVP and 25-50mcg/hr infusion
Stops upper GI motility
Drops portal pressures
(high portal pressures backs up blood to GI, causes bleeding)

Myexdema Coma
Queen Ann Sign

Septic Shock
Lactate level > 2.5
Hypotension w/ Normal HR
Hypotension refractory to fluid administration
Aggressive fluid management 30mL/kg
Norepinephrine
NO ETOMIDATE (adrenal inssufiency)
