Kernig’s sign
menigitis- pain in the hamstrings when extending leg
brudzinski sign
menigitis- hips flex when the neck flexed forward when lating supine
chvosteks sign
low calcium/ magnesium- tap cheek and the facial muscles twitch
Trousseau’s sign
low calcium/ magnesium- blood pressure cuff makes hand flex forward and look like claw
Babinski reflex
less then six months when sole of foot stimulated the toes flexes
moro relfexes
when baby percieves they are falling they put arms out and pull arms in
tonic neck/ fencing relfex
when infants head turns left the left arm/ legs extend and right arm/ legs flex
Cullen’s sign
blue color around naval caused by internal bleeding
Mcburney’s sign
appendectis- rebound tenderness in the lower right hand abdomen
