Evaluation
An instrument designed to measure any characteristics, quality, ability, knowledge or skill.
Test
collection, interpretation, and use of qualitative and quantitative to assist teachers in their educational decision making
Assessment as a Process
it refers to the instrument that is designed to elicit a pre determined behavior, unique performances
Assessment as a product
Its results reveal whether or not instructions have successfully achieved the curriculum outcomes

Its purpose is to assess the needs of the learners to have a basis in planning for a relevant instruction

PLACEMENT
This is a form of Pre-assessment that allows a teacher to determine individual student’s prior knowledge

FORMATIVE
Students assess their own work and/or with their peers with the use of scoring rubrics, they learn on their own

Also known as decontextualized assessment which focuses on declarative knowledge and/or procedural knowledge in artificial situations detached from the real world
Traditional assessment
also known as contextualized assessment which requires real-life tasks and require students to utilize (HOTS)
Authentic assessment
it is a purposeful collection of work that tells the story of the student’s progress and achievement in relation to a purpose
Portfolio
Documents or products that are produced as a result of academic classroom work
ex. student papers and homework
Artifacts
documentations of a student’s work outside the classroom
ex. CAPSTONE
Reproductions
The teacher and other responsible person’s documentations to attest to the student’s progress
