What are the specifiers for Adjustment Disorders?

When would you specify Adjustment Disorder as chronic?
If symptoms last more than 6 months, stressor ongoing.
What are the timings specified for PTSD?
Symptoms longer than a month, and within 6 months of the stressor (or specify delayed expression)
What are the criteria for PTSD 6+?
A - Exposure to actual or threatened death, serious injury, or sexual violence, B - intrusive symptoms (1), C - Avoidance (1), D - Alterations in cognition and mood (2), E - Alterations in arousal and reactivity (2)
What are the specifiers for PTSD?
With disassociative symptoms and delayed expression.
What is the difference for under 6 PTSD?
Can’t be repeated exposure to details, Avoidance and altered cognitions combined (1), impairment in relationships.
What is the age criteria for antisocial personality disorder?
Must be at least 18, criteria A symptoms occurring since age of 15, evidence of conduct disorder before 15.
What is criteria A for Antisocial personality disorder? (7)
A - 3 or more from; illegal acts, deceitfulness, impulsivity, aggressiveness, disregard for safety, unable to sustain work or financial commitments, lack of remorse.
How many of inattention and hyperactivity symptoms are needed for ADHD?
6 of each, or 5 for 17+
What are the ADHD specifiers?
Combined, predominantly inattentive, predominantly hyperactive/impulsive, mild, moderate and severe - can also be in partial remission
What is criteria B for ADHD?
Several symptoms before the age of 12
What is criteria A for Autism Spectrum Disorder?
Deficits in social interaction and communication indicated by deficits in all 3 - social emotional reciprocity, nonverbal communicative behaviours, maintaining and understanding relationships.
What is criteria B for Autism Spectrum Disorder?
Restricted repetitive behaviours as shown by at least 2 of; stereotyped or repetitive movement, speech or use of objects, rigid thinking, specialised interest, sensory sensitivity. (2/4)
What are the Autism Spectrum Disorder specifiers?
With/without ID, language disorder, requiring support, substantial support or very substantial support.
How long does a manic episode need to last?
At least 1 week

What are the criteria for Bi Polar I Disorder?
At least one lifetime manic episode, not explained by schizoaffective disorder.
What are the criteria for a manic disorder?
At least 3 of (or 4 if only irritable mood); inflated self-esteem, less need for sleep, more talkative, flight of ideas, distractibility, goal-orientated activity, activities with painful consequences.
What criteria is needed for a Major Depressive Episode?
5 or more of following (must include at least 1 of first 2); depressed mood, marked diminished interest or pleasure in activities, weight loss, insomnia/hypersomnia, psychomotor agitation/retardation, fatigue, worthlessness, unable to concentrate, thoughts of death. (5/9)
What is the criteria for Bi Polar II Disorder?
One current or past hypomanic and major depressive episode.
What is the timing for Conduct disorder
At least 3 of criteria in last 12 months, and 1 in the past 6 months. (includes aggression to people and animals, destruction of property, deceitfulness or theft, serious violation of rules)
What are the onset specifiers for conduct disorder?
Childhood (at least 1 symptom before 10) or adolescent onset (no symptoms before 10) or unspecified.
What are the criteria for ODD?
At least 4 symptoms for past 6 months, (includes angry/irritable mood, argumentative/defiant, vindictiveness)
5 and under almost every day, 5+ at least once a week.

What are the specifiers for ODD?
Mild - one setting, Moderate - two settings, Severe - 3 or more settings.
What is the criteria for Borderline Personality Disorder?
5 of 9 symptoms by early adulthood in a variety of contexts;
- frantic efforts to avoid abandonment
- unstable and intense relationships,
- unstable self-image
- impulsivity for self-damaging behaviours (at least 2)
- recurrent suicidal behaviour
- affective instability
- chronic feeling of emptiness
- intense anger
- stress related paranoia
When is Major Depression a recurrent episode?
When there has been at least 2 consecutive months between symptoms occurring.
What is the criteria for Major Depressive Disorder?
5 or more of following (must include at least 1 of first 2); depressed mood, marked diminished interest or pleasure in activities, weight loss, insomnia/hyper-somnia, psychomotor agitation/retardation, fatigue, worthlessness, unable to concentrate, thoughts of death. (5/9)

Restlessness, easily fatigued, difficulty concentrating, irritability, muscle tension, sleep disturbance.
What symptoms must occur during a panic attack?
At least 4 of;
- palpitations
- sweating
- trembling
- shortness of breath
- feeling of choking
- chest pain
- nausea
- dizziness
- feeling hot or cold
- Paresthesias (numbness or tingling sensations).
- derealisation or depersonalisation
- fear of losing control
- fear of dying
Following at least one attack, what must occur for at least 1 month for Panic Attack Disorder?
Excessive worry about another attack and/or change in behaviour to avoid possible attack.
How long must symptoms occur for a diagnosis of Social Anxiety disorder?
6 months
What is the specification for children with social anxiety disorder?
Worry must occur for being around peers not just adults.
What specifier can be given to Social Anxiety Disorder?

What is rumination disorder?
Repeated regurgitation of food to swallow, spit, or chew for at least 1 month.
What does ARFID stand for?
Avoidant restrictive food intake disorder.
At least one of which criteria is needed for ARFID?
Significant weight loss, nutritional deficiency, dependence on enteral feeding or supplements.
What are the 3 criteria for Anorexia Nervosa?
- Restriction of food, significant low body weight
- intense fear of gaining weight,
- disturbance of how weight and shape is experienced/lack of recognition of seriousness of low body weight.
What is the difference between Anorexia with bingeing and Bulimia?
Those with Bulimia maintain normal weight or above.
What are the criteria for Bulimia?
Binge eating in 2 hour window, compensatory behaviours, at least once a week for 3 months.
In Binge eating disorder, binge eating episodes are associated with 3 or more of which criteria?
- eating more rapidly than normal,
- until uncomfortably full,
- when not physically hungry,
- alone because of embarrassment
- feeling disgusted with oneself, depressed or guilty after.
How often does binge eating need to occur to meet criteria?
At least once a week for a 3 months.
For substance use disorders, what criteria is needed?
2 or more symptoms within 12 months from Impaired control, social impairment, risky use, tolerance and withdrawal.
What are the remission types for substance use disorders?
Early remission - 3 -12 months, Sustained Remission 12+ months (ok for craving symptom to still be there)
What is phencyclidine?
A hallucinogenic anaesthetic
What do you specify with Major Neurocognitive Disorder?
Add code for medical condition first, then neurocognitive, with/without behavioural disturbance, mild moderate or severe
What neurocognitive disorder would you consider if client has behavioural disinhibition, loss of empathy, compulsive behaviours
