what should you do in the introduction
you will welcome your client and make them feel at ease and discuss the aims and expectations of the session
you need to prepare yourself, the equipment and the environment (check floor is clear etc)
set up any equipment that is needed
welcome the client and build a rapport
brief the client on the facilities health and safety procedures
you will need to briefly undertake a verbal PAR-Q with the client
explain their role and and responsibilities as a PT to the client
explain the objectives of the session and relate to client goals describing how the session can be regressed/progressed
explain the physical and technical demands of the session to the client
provide a warm up to the client
how will the cardiovascular section go
the assessor will choose the CV training system
the assessor will choose from LSD, interval or fartlek
you, the PT, will choose the CV exercise to deliver the CV training system - bike, cross trainer, rower and treadmill
a minimum of 10 mins must be shown
how many resistance training systems will you be asked

what are the advanced training resistance systems
matrix pyramids super sets drop sets negatives eccentrics German volume training pre/post exhaust tri/giant sets forced reps
how will the core section go
learner will need to deliver one set of a core exercise of their choice
on the second set the assessor will ask the learner to either progress or regress their core exercise
what is the end session
you will need to cool down and select appropriate cool down exercises
provides the client with feedback regarding their performance, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement
gain feedback from the client regarding their session and how it was relevant to their goals
leave the environment in a suitable condition
what should you mention in a verbal PAR-Q
do you have any chest pain when performing physical activity?
are you pregnant or have given birth in the last six months?
do you have a bone/joint problem that causes you pain when exercising?
have you had surgery in the last 3-6 months?
do you have any injures?
do you have any other limitations that must be addressed when developing an exercise plan? eg diabetes, any hereditary conditions, heart problems etc
