The Baptism
John baptised Jesus in the river Jordon, as soon as Jesus came up from the water the Holy Spirit descended on him and said to Jesus that he is his son, then the spirit sent Jesus to the wilderness where he was tempted by Satan for 40 days
Blind Bartimaeus
Bartimaeus was blind and outcasted one day Jesus came to his town and Bartimaeus begged Jesus come to his town and Bartimaeus begged Jesus to heal him. Jesus healed because of his faith and he became a disciple
The Entry into Jerusalem
Jesus was about to enter the before he stopped and told his disciples to go ahead and untie some colt and bring it to him. They did so and when Jesus entered the town the people cheered for him and threw down their cloaks for him
The Request of James and John
James and John asked Jesus for seats in heaven beside him. Jesus said in order to guarantee such seats in heaven they would have to suffer as he will suffer. While James and John claim they would be able to suffer as he will Jesus knows they wouldn’t
The Calming of the Storm
Jesus and his disciples were crossing a lake when a storm appeared. The disciples woke a sleeping Jesus who then scolded them for their lack of faith and told the storm to stop
Messianic Secret
The secret of Jesus being the Messiah which is a secret because Jesus knows the Pharisees would execute him
Is Son of David an appropriate title for Jesus?
No as there is no evidence or statement to imply or prove that Jesus is descended from David
Is Son of Man an appropriate title for Jesus?
Yes as it shows Jesus’ humanity and he uses it to refer to himself on numerous occasions
Is Son of God an appropriate title for Jesus?
No as Jesus dislikes it and referring to him as Son of God defies the messianic secret
The Woman with a Haemorrhage
An ill woman was outcasted. One day Jesus entered her town and she knew if she touched his clothes she’d be healed. She did so and was correct. Jesus felt some of his power leave him and asked the crowd who touched him. The woman confessed out of fear and Jesus showed her mercy because of her faith
The Man with a Dreaded Skin Disease
A leper asked Jesus to heal him and Jesus did so because he was faithful
Paralysed Man
Jesus was preaching when four men carrying a paralysed man on a mat tried to reach Jesus but couldn’t get through the crowd so they opened a hole in the ceiling and lowered the man down to him. Despite the Pharisees watching Jesus healed him
A Man with an Evil Spirit
Jesus was preaching when a man in the crowd started screaming at him saying he’s come go destroy us all. Jesus sensed the evil spirit within him and commanded it to leave
The Boy with an Evil Spirit
A boy with an evil spirit was suffering. The disciples tried to drive out the spirit but failed. Jesus scolded them for this and removed the spirit himself
Peter’s Declaration
Jesus asked his disciples who people say he is, his disciples told him that some people think he’s John the Baptist while others believe he is Elijah. When Jesus asked Peter who he thinks he is Peter responded that he is the messiah
