A

Must obtain written consent from a parent with a full explanation to what the evaluation will entail.

If parent does not sign, an initial evaluation cannot take place.
3-year reevaluations can take place if the site provided multiple attempts to contact the parent but did not hear back.

Parents are allowed to revoke permission at any time.

A

Tier 1: 80% with research based instruction to whole class.
Tier 2: 15% small group intervention
Tier 3: 5% more intensive small group and 1-to-1 instruction.

What are ecological inventories?

A

An informal assessment method as part of person centered planning that addresses the long term goals of students (3-5 years).
Skills needed in future and current are addressed.
The content is more flexible than IEP goals.
