A

A defendant will still be liable for an offence if necessary mens rea and commits the actus reus even if the victim differed from the intended one.

Meaning of indirect assault

A

Indirect assault is where force is not applied directly to a victim. Example pulled out a chair as someone sits down. Force has not been applied directly to victim but person is still harmed

A

If you leave now i wont hurt you. If victim complys with the condition the act or gesture will not be followed through

A

Consented assault eg dentist, all criteria for assault are present but are consented so therefor no prosecution, no public interest.
