A
Chest pain suspicious of myocardial infarction

A
4 tablets at 81 mg
1 tablet at 325 mg

Chew and swallow

Contraindications
A
- unable to swallow safely
- allergy to aspirin or sensitivity, as in the case of some asthmatics
- G.I. bleeding
- bleeding disorder, such as hemophilia
- Patient has taken a full dose of aspirin in prior six hours

Relative contraindications
A
(Benefit must outweigh risk of treatment, to be determined by Medical Director)
- Pregnancy
- Taking a blood thinner such as warfarin
- Recent surgery

A
Usually none, but stomach upset possible
