Because the Chinese have been selecting for boy babies, there are now more males than females.

Overseas information technology workers in Asia get less pay and have good English speaking skills. This competes with American workers for jobs.

It was an effort to modernize techniques and science to increase to production of food.

India started the green revolution because of the Bengal Famine to improve their farming methods.
What is a famine?
When a population starves, because crops failed and there isn’t enough food. Like the Bengal Famine in India?

The development of a worldwide society in which people money and information flow “fairly freely” across borders.
