You could use it if you wanted to go hiking, camping, etc. They are also more specific
Physical Map
Maps that use colors to show elevation and landforms. They are more general and use can use them to see where people live and to find better places to go
Human footprint
It shows you the negative impact of humans on the environment. The more color, the more HF.
Ex: Air pollution from cars, factories, methane, airplanes
Government
A system that sets up and enforces a society’s (community, country, school, team etc) laws and institutions.
Direct Democracy
The people rule, they have a voice and can vote,

Representative Democracy
people vote for someone who represents their ideas/beliefs and they make decisions based on that
Dictator
Government is in complete control over all aspects of citizens life. They rise to power in a vacuum, a vacuum is when there is a lot of chaos and vulnerability. Life under a dictator is bad because you have no say in anything no matter what and dictators suck. Characteristics are
False promises
False hope
Manipulative
Charismatic/charming
Rise to power in a vacuum (crisis/depression…people are vulnerable and want stability)
Self-serving, narcissistic (Mao)

Power-hungry
People starve (Stalin, Mao)

Pro:all people get to debate and vote on every issue. everyone has a voice, Cons: not efficient / arguments / long time, too many people= varied opinions
Representative Democracy
Pro:people vote for someone who represents their ideas/beliefs and they make decisions based on that Con: sometimes representatives do not make good on their promises
