PADAHASTASANA (Standing Forward Bend) - FOCUS
We will start today with padahastasana, standing forward bend, in which we concentrate to perceive streams of telluric energy rising through the legs and focusing in mooladhara chakra, the accumulation of these energies in the area of the torso, and simultaneously the expelling of stagnant, waste energies through the palms and fingers back into the ground.
PADAHASTASANA (Standing Forward Bend) - AWARENESS
Eyes closed, attention focused to perceive: a pleasant sensation in the legs, the arousing of mooladhara chakra, the root chakra, increased vitality, and an energizing of the torso.
TADASANA (Tree Pose) - FOCUS
We will now perform tadasana, tree pose. During the performance of this asana, concentrate to feel the descending of cosmic energy through the arms – lunar, yin energy in the left arm, and solar, yang energy in the right arm – and the accumulation of this energy in the area of the torso. To retain this energy within your structure, maintain the continuous application of ashvini mudra, the constant contraction of the muscles of the anus.
TADASANA (Tree Pose) - AWARENESS
Attention focused to perceive: bio-magnetic fields around the arms, the discharging of the excess energies from the palms and fingers. Simultaneously note the subtle field of energy surrounding the body at the level of the torso, like a sphere, just outside the physical body.
PRASARITA PADOTTANASANA (Wide-Legged Standing Forward Bend) - FOCUS
We will now continue with prasarita padottanasana, the wide-legged standing forward bend. In which we concentrate to feel streams of telluric energy rising through the legs and the accumulation of the collected energies at the level of mooladhara chakra. And the energy rises from muladhara, and runs along the spine, through sushumna nadi, all the way to sahasrara, the crown chakra.
PRASARITA PADOTTANASANA (Wide-Legged Standing Forward Bend) - AWARENESS
Eyes closed, focus your attention to perceive: the continuation of the sublimation process of the vital energies rising upwards toward the superior chakras, and especially the arousal of sahasrara, the crown chakra; also note a state of lightness; and an elevation of the consciousness.
PAVANA MUKTASANA (Wind Release Pose) - FOCUS
Next we will perform pavana muktasana, the wind release pose. During the performance of this asana, concentrate to perceive the arousing of manipura chakra.
PAVANA MUKTASANA (Wind Release Pose) - AWARENESS
Focus your attention to perceive: the arousing of manipura chakra, the navel chakra. Note specific physiological effects in the abdominal area, a feeling of expansion at the level of the navel. Psychologically note a condition of insulation from external stimuli; a state of pratyahara; expansion; and increased willpower.
BHUJANGASANA (Cobra Pose) - FOCUS
Next, we will perform bhujangasana, the cobra pose. During the performance of this asana, concentrate to feel the arousing of anahata chakra, the heart chakra, with cosmic energies. And also, perceive some telluric energy, rising up along the legs and spine to the area of the heart.
BHUJANGASANA (Cobra Pose) - AWARENESS
Keeping the eyes closed, attention focused to perceive: very fine vibrations in the area of the heart plexus; the arousing of anahata chakra; an affectionate mood without any object; a feeling of deep internal calmness. Try to perceive the specific emotion of universal love.
JANUSIRSHASANA (Head to the Knee Pose) - FOCUS
We now come to janushirshasana, head to the knee pose. During the performance of this asana, concentrate to feel the polarized arousing of mooladhara chakra.
JANUSIRSHASANA (Head to the Knee Pose) - AWARENESS (LEFT)
Attention focused to perceive: the energizing of the left leg; the arousing of the receptive aspect of mooladhara chakra. Note an increased condition of vitality at the level of the torso; a release of tension and an internal massage in the right side of the lumbar area.
JANUSIRSHASANA (Head to the Knee Pose) - AWARENESS (RIGHT)
Attention focused to perceive: the energizing of the right leg; the arousing of the emissive aspect of mooladhara chakra. Note an increased condition of vitality at the level of the torso; a release of tension; and an internal massage in the left side of the lumbar area.
Finally, note a condition of harmony and balance at the level of this chakra.
PASCHIMOTTANASANA (Seated Forward Bend) - FOCUS
We will now perform paschimottanasana, seated forward bend. During the performance of this asana, concentrate to feel the direct arousing of mooladhara chakra with telluric energy. Perceive streams of telluric energy rising through the spine then descending down the arms and moving along the legs, creating a beautiful circuit of energy.
PASCHIMOTTANASANA (Seated Forward Bend) - AWARENESS
Eyes closed, attention focused to perceive: the energizing of the legs; the intense arousing of mooladhara chakra, the root chakra; an increased condition of vitality; an enhanced stability of the mind.
