Cubism was one of the most influential styles and painting and sculpture developed in the early 20th century created by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque.
CUBISM
In this type of cubism, the small facets of a dissected or analyzed object are reassembled to show the same object.
Analytic Cubism
In this type of cubism, large pieces of neutral or colored paper suggests a particular object, because of the shape they are cut or because they bear a graphic element that clarifies the association.
Synthetic Cubism
He revolutionized accepted concepts and conventions. He created 20,000 paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics, and other things like costumes or theater sets. The effects of cubism inspired offshoot styles like Futurism, Dada, and Constructivism in other countries. He is also known for inventing constructed sculpture and co-inventing collage art style.
Pablo Picasso
Was an artistic and literary movement that began as a reaction to world war 1. It was influenced by the other avant-garde movements resulting to varied outputs that included performance art, photography, sculpture, painting, and collage.
DADAISM
One of the most famous Dada artists, was a french american artist who coined the word ‘readymades’.
Commonly known as the “Father of Conceptual Art”
These are objects found and possibly modified to be presented as art— taking a pre-made work of art and adding alterations to it.
Marcel Duchamp
Was a work of art and part of the Dada movement in europe towards non-traditional arts on reaction to WW1. This particular work was considered shock art, due to its mildly obscene title and comical modifications.
L.H.O.O.Q.
Is a 20th century style in art that sought to channel the unconscious as a means to unlock the power of the imagination. It attempts to express the workings of the subconscious through fantastic imagery.

Max Ernst, Salvador Dali, and Joan Miro.
Famous Surrealist Artists
Was one of the most famous Spanish-Catalan surrealist painters in the twentieth century and an icon of the surrealist movement. He is known for striking and bizarre images in his painting.
Salvador Dali
Is a form of art that combines two contradicting terms: abstract and realism.
Abstract Realism
Was an influential american painter and a leading abstract expressionist painter. His style in painting characterized by detaching line from color, redefining the categories of draweing and painting.
Jackson Pollock
Are created by setting the canvas on the floor or laid out against a wall. From there, he would allow the painted drip from the paint can and instead of using a paint brush use knives, trowels, or sticks to adapt with images .
Drip Paintings
He also developed the method of painting called the ‘all-over method’. This art form avoids any clear and distinct points of emphasis or any identifiable parts within the canvas being used to create the piece.
