One major art form that brings together all
the other arts forms- from painting and sculpture, to installation art, to music, to
dance, to literature, even to omputer arts- in a single production.
Theater
Origin of Theater
Athens where ancient hymns, called Dithyrambs, were sung in honor of the Dog, Dionysus.
They raise finances, book theatres, negotiate and issue contracts, and manage how the budget is spent. They organize and manage technical, stage management , and workshop functions.
Producer
Their function is to ensure the quality and completeness of theatre production and to lead the members of the creative team into realizing their artistic vision for it.
Directors
The person responsible for writing dramatic material for the pusposes of performance within the theatre. He takes charge of the initial concept or plot and develops it into a play.
Playwright
They lead all production efforts including hiring, supervising all staff and crew. They also coordinate with other theatre personnel to ensure the efficiency of the production process.
Production Manager
They apply makeup to performers to reflect period, setting, and situation of their role.
Makeup Artist
They are responsible for
the visual appearance of any makeup
worn by the actors, they plan etc.
Makeup Designer
Designs and directs the dance or stylized movement in musical productions, working closely with the director and musical director.
Choreographer
They are responsible for purchasing construction amterials, supervising the building of scenery, transporting set pieces from teh shop to
the theatre stage, mounting the scenery
onstage.
Technical Director
They are responsible for creating
sets for use in the production of films,
television programmes, plays and musicals.
Set Designer
They are responsible for the design, installation, and operation of the lighting and special electrical effects used in the production.
Lighting Designer
Also called conductors, leads orchestras, choirs, and other msuical groups during performances and recording sessions.
Musical Director
Design, create, hires costumes for the cast
Costume Designer
They are responsible for obtaining all sound effects, whether recorded or live for a specific production, sound.
