Describe the Virginia plan of government.

What are the powers of the legislative branch?
- Propose laws.
- Can override a presidential veto.
- Senate can approve, or reject appointed federal judges, and reject treaties.
- Congress can impeach, and remove any official in the executive branch or judicial branch.
Of the powers of the judicial branch?
- Hear all federal court cases regarding federal law, and the constitution.
- Federal judges, once approved, serve for life, to break the influence of elections and “parties”.
