Use of The

A
  • Not used in titled name ex: We met Mr. Steven.
  • not used with the names of continents or countries. ex: they traveled to Africa.
  • Not sed with names of cities. ex: He works in Montreal.
  • Is used with names of Oceans, Seas, rivers and Canals but NOT names of lakes.
  • Is used with names of contains but NOT with individual name of mountain. ex: We saw Mount Everest.
