It is a government established BY THE PEOPLE, SERVE THE PEOPLE and RAN BY THE PEOPLE

We are represented by certain people that we choose
Sovereignty belongs to the people

Election ( choose rep)
Plebiscite (amend consti)
Initiative (process to enact laws directly)
Referendum (ask people to approve law)
Recall (removal of official) - Indirectly - exercised power properly
What does having a presidential system mean?
Separation powers
In the congress, what kinds of laws are implemented?
Statute - legislative made laws
Jurisprudence - decision of supreme court
What is bicameral?
House of senate
House of representatives
In the presidential government, what kind of power does the president have?
Head of state and government
What does parliamentary system mean?
People elect members of the parliament who chooses the prime minister

First among equals
The prime minister is what kind of head?
Head of the government
What does section two of article two say?
We can’t declare war but the congress can declare the EXISTENCE OF WAR
What is the ranks of laws?
- Constitution - all acts of law conform to this
- Statute - laws made by congress

b. Ordinances - local government laws - Treaty/International law - part of law if 2/3 of senate approves
- Jurisprudence - official interpretation
- Incorporation laws - automatic adoption of international laws
