What is Modernism?

What is Postmodernism?
A cultural and intellectual movement that emerged in the late 20th century as a critique of modernism. It embraces pluralism, deconstruction, and the questioning of grand narratives.
What is Appropriation in art?
The practice of artists using pre-existing images, objects, or styles in their own work.
What does Representation mean?
The act of depicting or portraying something, either visually or symbolically.
What is a Simulacrum?
An image or representation that has replaced the original reality to which it refers.
What is Deconstruction?
A philosophical approach that questions the stability of meaning and reveals the underlying contradictions and assumptions in language and texts.
