A

These are colors that can not be made by mixing colors. These are “true” colors and they can only be made from pigments from the earth of their color.

A

The distribution of the visual weight of objects, colors, texture, and space

A

The extreme changes between elements (of art) which can be used to create emphasis in a design. In terms the value, this would be the use of extreme lights and darks with little or no range between the two

The path the viewer’s eye takes through the artwork. Movement can be compositional in terms of line, color, etc. or it can be literal

A

The part of a design that catches the viewer’s attention. The area will be different than the rest of the space through the use of color, size, texture, shape, or subject matter

Repetition

A

The presence of predictability and order in a composition through repeating lines, shapes, colors, and spaces. It can create a sense of organized movement in an artwork.

A

The overall size of one object to another in a composition. Usually scale is created when one object is very large and the other is very small in comparison

The feeling of unity created when all parts in a composition relate well with each other
