Line, tone, color, texture and shape
What is tone?
How light or dark something is.
What is texture?
What something feels like
What are the design principles?
Contras, proportion, emphasis, unity and balance
What is contrast?
the juxtaposition of difference, used to intensify the properties within the work
What is proportion?
the dimensions of a composition and relationships between height, width and depth
What is emphasis?
Is used to attract a viewer’s attention to the focal. point, or main subject, of an artwork.
What is unity?
how different elements of an artwork or design work come together and create a sense of wholeness
What is balance?
the use of artistic elements such as line, texture, color, and form in the creation of artworks in a way that renders visual stability.
What are the primary colors?
Red, blue and yellow
What are related colors?
The colors in between two primary colors
