Track along North side river bank clearing & up the cleared patch of bush to the hangar

Fox Valley - Departure Procedure

A

Lift, turn & hold looking for traffic.
Heliservices track slight west before crossing the river. Turn east only once on the southern side of the Fox River.

Fox Base, North - Arrival Procedure

A
  • Descend from abeam Lake Mueller to the “Cattle Yards” at not less than 1500”.
  • Then turn left & descend for the Alpine Pad

Fox Base, North - Departure Procedure

A
  • Lift, turn & hold before tracking for settling ponds & cattleyards.
  • Northbound traffic to remain at 1200” at reporting point “Fenceline”.
  • Then climb to the north to be 1nm West of the Cook Saddle.

  • Join direct for East side Canavan’s Knob, arrive below 1000” at Canavan’s.
  • Turn right base for Heliport.

  • On short final track 130° to the heliport.
  • Aim for the stripped post before landing.
  • Reduce speed to as slow as possible.

  • Call intentions.
  • Lift & hold - check for other traffic before departing.
  • Departing traffic gives way to arriving traffic.
  • Initial departure track 250°

  • Depart to the south.
  • If remaining below 2000” enroute, remain West of the main road.

A
  • Call intentions.
  • Lift & hold, check for other traffic before departing & check there is no conflict with existing circuit patterns.
  • Departing traffic gives way to all departing traffic & all arriving traffic on finals.
  • Initial departure track to Canavan’s at or below 1000” heading 150°
  • At Canavan’s, broadcast intentions then depart on track.

  • Radio call on DEPARTURE [callsign], lifting Potters Hangar, [Direction]
  • Radio call on ARRIVAL [callsign], Lake Pratt for Potters Hangar. Remain west until finals.

  • South from the Alpine Pad initially until on the south side of the Fox River.
  • Turn east to climb the Fox Valley
  • Track & climb for the Fox Terminal to be at 2500” or above, descend direct into the Heli Hike pad.
