Testator
A person has made a will or given a legact
Remainder-Interest
Someone with a future interest in an asset (state trust or will - an interest that becomes effective after a certain date)
Life Owner
An interest in something (slaves, estate, etc.) that last only the duration of an individual’s life and thus cannot be inherited through a will
Coverture
The legal status of a married woman, considered to be under her husband’s protection and authority.

Overlapping or intersecting social identities and related systems of oppression, domination, or discrimination.
Ex. Sally was a woman who killed in self-defense, but since she was a slave she could not testify
