If a person is in possession of a: firearm,airgun,pistol,prohibited part or magazine

I can request their full name, address and DOB

If they refuse they must be warned they may be arrested, if they persist they may be arrested.

If I have RGTS a person is carrying arms, or is in possession of, or has under their control AND:

•Person is breaching Arms Act 1983
or
•Person by reason of their physical/mental condition is incapable of proper control of arms
or
•Person by reason of their physical/mental condition may kill or cause GBH
or
•A PO is in place under their Family Violence act 2018
or
•There are grounds to make an application against a person for a PO
or
•A PSO is in force under Family Violence Act 2018

•Search the person
•Search anything in their possession/control (includes vehicle)
•Enter a place or vehicle to search
-The person
-Anything in their possession/control
•Seize and detain any arms found
•Seize and detain the persons firearm licence
